On the 28th July 2015, REHDA Youth organized a talk on The Pipe Revolution – How PVC-O Pipes are Transforming the Industry which presented by Molecor (SEA) Sdn Bhd.The talk successful bringing up 25 participants.
PVC-O pipes are pipes made of molecular-oriented unplasticized PVC for the conveyance of water under pressure. PVC-O pipes manufactured by Molecor undergo a patented total-dry molecular orientation technology which makes the pipes 5 times stronger than conventional PVC material. PVC-O characteristics are close to metal pipes which makes it heavy duty, but it weighs only 10% of metal pipes and do not have problems such as corrosion or scaling. PVC-O pipes have extremely impressive mechanical properties including superior impact resistance, long-term hydrostatic resistance, increased hydraulic capacity, higher smoothness and maximum flexibility. Additionally, the technology aims to lower overall project costs significantly due to lower material cost and shortened project duration.
