The REHDA Youth Kuantan Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) Study Tour was held on 25–26 September 2025, bringing together young developers and industry professionals for a two-day programme filled with site visits, meaningful dialogues, and collaborative exchanges.
Day 1 began with a visit to the Malaysia–China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP), a flagship bilateral development driving high-value manufacturing and regional trade. This was followed by a session at KotaSAS Township & Tasek Commercial Centre, where participants gained insights into township planning and commercial growth.
In the afternoon, the group explored the transformative East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) Station & Railway, learning about its role in enhancing regional connectivity and national logistics integration. Later, a series of strategic engagements with government agencies including BPEN, MIDA, MBK, and ECERDC shed light on TOD opportunities and investment prospects in Pahang.
The evening concluded with a Social Night co-hosted by REHDA Pahang and REHDA Terengganu, offering networking opportunities in a casual setting.
Day 2 opened with a CSR beach cleaning initiative at Pantai Anak Air, organised in collaboration with Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan (MBK) to promote environmental stewardship and coastal sustainability. The study tour wrapped up with a courtesy visit to Lembaga Perumahan dan Hartanah Pahang (LPHP), where participants exchanged insights on housing and property development in Pahang and explored avenues for future collaboration.
Participants praised the tour for its balance of professional knowledge-sharing, hands-on exposure, and meaningful community initiatives, making it a memorable and impactful experience.
Special thanks to REHDA Pahang, REHDA Terengganu, MCKIP, KotaSAS, MBK, LPHP, and all participating agencies and developers for their warm hospitality, support, and invaluable contributions.
We look forward to more enriching exchanges through future REHDA Youth initiatives!
