On 12 June 2026, REHDA Youth successfully organised the Ipoh Green Tour 2026, bringing together industry professionals for a day of learning, site visits, and knowledge exchange centred on sustainability and innovation in the built environment.
The programme began at Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh, where participants were welcomed by Ms. Amelia Victor Dass, Project Management. The session provided an overview of the development and operational planning behind the healthcare facility. Participants also heard from Jeffrey Wiriady, Sustainability Consultant from Green Quarter, who shared practical insights on sustainability, ESG integration, and green building initiatives.
The tour then continued to 1 Lasam, Perak’s first GBI Platinum-certified building. Ar. Shyuan Kuee, Founder and Principal Architect of Kuee Architecture, shared the design philosophy, sustainability strategies, and architectural considerations behind the award-winning project, offering participants a deeper appreciation of environmentally responsive design.
The final visit took participants to Wah Seng Distribution Centre, a GreenRE Platinum-certified industrial facility. Ar. Shyuan Kuee continued the sharing session by providing insights into the architectural approach and sustainable design features incorporated within the development, demonstrating how green building principles can be effectively applied in an industrial setting.
The day concluded with Ipoh Social Night at Hugh’s Racquet Club, providing an excellent platform for participants to strengthen industry connections and continue discussions in a relaxed setting.
The positive response and active participation throughout the programme reflected the growing interest in sustainable development and the value of learning directly from project teams and industry experts.
REHDA Youth extends its sincere appreciation to Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh, Green Quarter, Kuee Architecture, Wah Seng Distribution Centre, and all speakers and hosts for their support, hospitality, and valuable contributions towards the success of the programme.
