IBS Tour Series 3 was held on 1 November 2023, featuring visits to IJM IBS and Petra Modular. This event offered a priceless opportunity for attendees to delve into the realm of Industrialized Building Systems (IBS) and modular construction, gaining insights into their fundamental elements, future plans, and potential for development.

The tour showcased distinguished speakers from IJM IBS, which is Ir. Chan Huang Ong (Assistant General Manager) delivering enlightening and informative presentations elucidating IBS and its significance within the construction industry. Delegates had the privilege of benefiting from their extensive experience and expertise before embarking on a factory tour to witness IBS in operation.

In the second segment, a notable speaker from Petra Modular, Mr. Matthew Williams (Operation Manager) delivered a presentation on modular homes. He presented various aspects, including in-depth modular design and manufacturing facilities, the advantages of volumetric modular construction, technology, sustainability, compliance, comprehensive design, and masterplanning capabilities, as well as architectural and structural design. Following the presentation, Mr. Matthew Williams (Operation Manager) and Mr. Chong Yaw Fatt Senior Project Manager), guided the delegates on a tour to the mockup units, casting bay, production working area, along with the assistance of their team, which included Mr. Muhammad Norfadli (Project Manager), Mr. Kevinderjit Singh (QAQC Special Projects Manager), Muhammad Ezwan (Engineering Manager), and Ms. Nabila Mohd Adzan (Project Engineer).

In a nutshell, the tour emerged as an exceedingly valuable experience, substantiated by the positive feedback received from all participants. It fostered networking, the exchange of knowledge, and a deeper comprehension of the IBS and modular sectors, establishing it as a successful and informative event organized by REHDA Youth.
