REHDA Youth in collaboration with GreenRE Sdn Bhd organized a Green Development Study Tour to Etiqa Office Tower and Sime Darby Property on 26 June 2019. Mr. Kenny Wong, Director of Veritas Environment Sdn Bhd and Ar. Yazid, Veritas presented the building’s green features, design and construction of the Etiqa Office Tower. The delegates visited the plant room, green recreation area, irrigation system which featured a green wall followed with monitoring system room. They were exposed to the practical and technical consideration in the design of a green building.

The tour to Sime Darby included a visit to the Clusia Elmina Gardens, Elmina D3 and Elmina West. Delegates gained useful insights from the company’s curated urban farm garden presented by Mr. Sharif James Zainal Aziz, the Sustainability and Placemaking Officer BU1 of Sime Darby Property. Apart from that, Ms. Chung Chai Yin, General Manager Property Development and Innovation of Sime Darby Property and Mr. Edward Heng Yee Liang, Head of Township Elmina East, Denai Alam & Bukit Subang presented about the project’s green designs. The one-day event was truly an insightful and educational visit to all delegates.
