REHDA Youth Feruni Showcase Tour 2026: Exploring Art, Design, Innovation and Industry Insights

The REHDA Youth Feruni Showcase Tour, held on 14 August 2026, brought members on an immersive journey into the world of art, design, craftsmanship and innovation at Feruni’s headquarters in Petaling Jaya.

The showcase offered REHDA Youth members an opportunity to explore how creativity and innovation can transform the built environment, while gaining valuable insights into the latest developments in tile design, materials and applications.

The Transformative Power of Art

The tour began with an exploration of the transformative role of art and craftsmanship in interior and architectural spaces. Members discovered how carefully curated artworks, materials and design elements can elevate spaces beyond aesthetics and create a stronger sense of identity and character.

Celebrating the Flavours of Malaysia

A key highlight of the showcase was Feruni’s celebration of Malaysian heritage and creativity through its featured artworks.

Members explored Tutur Alam, a collaboration with batik artist Farah Mohan of Novak Batik, which brings together traditional Malaysian artistry with contemporary design.

Another standout piece was Mosaic of Harmony, a striking 2.4m by 6m mural created in collaboration with Loka Made. The artwork demonstrated how local influences, craftsmanship and contemporary creativity can come together to create meaningful design expressions.

Discovering Feruni Maxima Porcelain Slabs

Members also had the opportunity to experience the Feruni Maxima Porcelain Slabs, featuring 140 new designs that showcase the latest possibilities in tile design and applications.

The collection provided an insight into how advancements in materials and design are opening up new possibilities for developers, architects and designers across residential, commercial and hospitality projects.

CEO Insights with Dato’ Ngei Chee Chau

The showcase also featured an engaging sharing session with Dato’ Ngei Chee Chau, Founder and CEO of Feruni, who shared candid perspectives on the challenges and opportunities shaping the industry.

Among the key topics discussed were rising material costs, competition from imported tiles, quality control, developer-supplier collaboration, skilled labour shortages and sustainability.

Dato’ Ngei also emphasised the importance of continuous learning, adaptability and resilience in navigating an increasingly competitive business environment.

The session provided REHDA Youth members with an opportunity to engage directly with Feruni’s leadership, exchange perspectives and gain a deeper understanding of how innovation, creativity and collaboration can contribute to the future of the built environment.

Connecting Beyond the Boardroom

The day concluded with a Sports Gathering at Base Pickle & Padel, where REHDA Youth members enjoyed free pickleball and padel sessions in a relaxed and engaging setting.

The evening provided a great opportunity for members to unwind, connect and strengthen relationships across the industry beyond the boardroom.

REHDA Youth extends its sincere appreciation to Feruni and Dato’ Ngei Chee Chau for the warm hospitality, valuable insights and inspiring experience. The showcase was a meaningful platform for our members to discover new perspectives in design and innovation while fostering stronger connections within the property and built environment industry.
