28 August 2026 marked the successful completion of the REHDA Youth Township Tour Series, an immersive learning experience that brought 30 participants on a behind-the-scenes journey through the planning, development, sustainability, and construction innovation behind Gamuda Cove.

The tour commenced at the Gamuda Cove Experience Gallery, where participants embarked on a guided tour covering several key attractions within the township, including Paya Indah Wetlands, SplashMania, and Townsquare Park. The visit provided participants with first-hand exposure to how nature, recreation, community spaces, and lifestyle amenities can be thoughtfully integrated into a master-planned township.

Participants then returned to the Experience Gallery for a presentation on Gamuda Cove’s residential and commercial developments, gaining insights into the township’s vision and development approach. The session also explored Gamuda Cove’s positioning as a nature-led, low-carbon smart city in the southern Klang Valley, highlighting the importance of sustainability, technology, and environmental considerations in shaping future-ready communities.

The programme continued with a special Voice of Experience session by Ms. Wong Siew Lee, Chief Operating Officer of Gamuda Berhad, who shared valuable perspectives and experiences from her journey in the property and development industry. The session provided participants with an opportunity to gain practical insights from an industry leader and engage in meaningful knowledge-sharing.

In the afternoon, the group proceeded to the Gamuda Industrial Building System (IBS) Factory in Banting, where participants were introduced to Gamuda’s innovative approach to construction through Industrialised Building System technology. Following an introduction and safety briefing, participants went on a guided factory tour to observe the IBS manufacturing process and gain a better understanding of how modern construction methods can improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.

The site visit concluded with a sharing and Q&A session, allowing participants to further explore the applications and potential of IBS in the property development and construction industry.

The tour concluded with meaningful networking and discussions among REHDA Youth members and industry participants. The strong engagement throughout the day highlighted the value of experiencing developments and construction processes first-hand, while gaining insights directly from the industry professionals behind them.

A heartfelt thank you to Gamuda Land, Gamuda Berhad, the Gamuda Cove team, the Gamuda IBS team, and Ms. Wong Siew Lee for their warm hospitality, generous sharing, and for providing REHDA Youth members with an insightful and enriching learning experience.

We look forward to continuing to curate impactful Township Tour Series that connect our members with innovative developments, industry leaders, and the ideas shaping the future of Malaysia’s built environment.
